Belleville “Bike Hub”
The Belleville Depot is the future home of The Yards. When that home is to open is anyone’s guess.
This was the turnaround point of my ride from Madison. When I pulled up I got to talking with a neighbor mowing his lawn. He said construction abruptly halted, all equipment and signs were removed, and there are no updates on a completion date. It’s looking like the “Bike Hub” is on indefinite hiatus.
That being said, the Rest Stop behind the Depot is complete. There are two new bathrooms, a water fountain, and bike racks. It’s a welcome addition to the trail.
Riding to Belleville and New Glarus are regular routes, so I am hoping to see a finished Depot in the near future.
