After the Beltline opened and eventually expanded to four lanes in the 50’s many businesses opened along the corridor. Motor Lodges like the Kings Inn and Capitol sprung up offering a cheap nights stay to a weary traveler. They line the westside of the Beltline. While their signs still stand, the motels themselves have seen better days.
